YOUR EYES WERE OYSTER SHELLS

When I first stared at you
Your eyes were hard as oyster shells

I peered beyond the craggy cast
Of the stony swell

And saw the door
Into the milk of moonlight

The veiled pearls are now bare
Warm spray behind craggy wave

And now I dance in moonlight
Cuddling pearls protected from foul light

From the first line, my eyes played on "eyes has hard as oyster shell" and then the reveal, "veiled pearls now bare" brings to light the hidden treasures... I absolutely like reading your work. Please continue to share.
