Love Life . . . Hug a Tree!

Picture this. . .

The tiny insect
The ladybug, the bee
Even smaller than these
The bugs inside a tree

Glowworm or firefly
Neither’s worm nor fly
Light up the night
For passersby

Spiders spin their webs
Eat household pests
Considered good luck
Not all bad as guests

Forests, lakes, streams
Wildlife galore
A wonderland lies
On the ocean floor

Joy’s always near
Waterfalls and rain
Dance nature's rhythm
Again and again

Step outside, HUG A TREE!
With gratitude and mirth
Love life. . . ALL life!
For all its worth

“I am love, light, and melody. Within my embrace, spirits unfold, capturing the heart, soothing the soul.”
— The Catnip of Life - Mother Nature

About this poem

I found comfort in a very simple act — hugging a tree! With my body tightly against the tree, I absorbed the tree’s life-giving energy as I let go of innermost stress and anxiety. That moment reaffirmed how nature positively impacts life — excitement on one hand, tranquility on the other!
