Up on the Hill

A gentle breeze billows through the air
Looking to my left I see a sight so fair
Flowing in the wind is his beautiful black hair
I think we can call ourselves a pair

Yellow red and orange leaves falling so slow
The brilliant sun turns orange as it begins to get low
In the golden sunset light, your face seems to glow
I love you more than anyone, that much I do know

Us sitting, backs to the tree on this wooded hill we are alone yet together
I'm feeling elated being next to you now, light with joy, light as a feather
Sitting in this circle of trees there is beauty surrounding yet, you, you are my aether
Being with you smooths my skin my head and my heart made of far too tough a leather

The branches of the flowery pink wisteria tree begin to sway
Sitting here on the flowery hill with you all life’s worries begin to stray
I can't explain my emotions so through this poem I convey
All I want in this splendid moment is here for us to stay
