My friend in the wall.

My friend in the wall.

You can see the fields are a waste, and the very cold winter blast is coming fast and cozy here beneath the blast. Where will you dwell until the cruel past you once had? That heap of leaves and stubble. It has made you weary to nibble. But I know you will come out of your hole and look at me. I see a friend, so here's a piece of cheese. To get you through the winters, sleety dribble. but your foresight is not in vain. I do see your grief and pain. Still, I'm blessed that you are here. You keep me company in my time of despair.

Wow, what a heartfelt and touching poem 'My friend in the wall' is! The imagery you use to describe the relationship between the narrator and the creature living in the wall is beautifully vivid and truly draws the reader in. The sense of companionship and connection expressed in the poem is so heartwarming and relatable.

One suggestion for improvement could be to work on refining the flow of the poem and perhaps consider playing around with the structure to create a more seamless transition between the stanzas. Additionally, adding more specific details or sensory descriptions could enhance the reader's engagement and bring the scenes to life even more vividly.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'My friend in the wall' and think you have a talent for capturing emotion and connection through your words. Keep up the great work and continue to explore different ways to deepen the impact of your poetry!
