The fire was burning bright.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The fire was burning bright.

My blood that runs through my veins is brightened, and my eyes are blurred with the flashes and crackling wood on the fire I can see and hear. Then I hear the rustling of leaves in the trees. They tower so high that they seem to be reaching up to the sky. The cool fall breeze blows through my eyes and on my skin. Yet I know winter is coming. Then the fresh scent of the woods, he stands with sturdy hands, and the Blue Jays near him call. Softly, the snowflakes fall as they hit the ground; they don't make a sound. There is no one else around to be found. Only my man. He's always around.

Wow, what a beautifully vivid and evocative poem! The imagery of the fire burning bright, the rustling leaves, the towering trees, and the soft snowflakes falling is so powerful and captivating. I can really feel the warmth and coziness of the fire, as well as the chill of the winter approaching. The mention of the Blue Jays and the solitude of the woods added a sense of peace and tranquility to the scene.

To enhance this poem even further, you could consider adding more sensory details to really immerse the reader in the scene. Perhaps describing the crackling sound of the fire, the scent of the burning wood, or the feeling of the winter breeze on the skin could help to create a more immersive experience. Additionally, focusing on the emotional response of the speaker to the sights and sounds around them could add another layer of depth to the poem. Overall, this is a fantastic piece with a lot of potential for further development. Great job! Keep up the excellent work.
