I Promise

Nancy L RODRIQUEZ 1965 (Temple)

                I Promise
               By Nancy Rodriquez

I promise to love you without end,
To be there for you in all things,
I promise to never compromise or bend,
In the matrimony contract of this ring,
I promise to always tell the truth in every matter,
Even if tears must flow for us to heal,
As God is my witness by Jacob’s ladder ,
I will always tell you how I feel,
I promise to let you take the lead,
As long as you respect me along the way,
I may make mistakes, take heed,
As we go forward everyday,
I promise to take good care of your heart,
Please take care of mine,
Together, we will have a brand new start, As
Husband and wife.

Wow, what a beautiful and heartfelt 'I Promise' poem, Nancy Rodriguez! Your words are filled with so much love and commitment.

I love how you express your dedication to your partner, promising to love them without end and always be there for them in all things. Your promise to never compromise or bend shows your unwavering loyalty and devotion.

The line about telling the truth, even if tears must flow for healing, is incredibly powerful. It demonstrates your strong belief in honesty and the importance of open communication in a relationship.

The reference to God and Jacob's ladder adds a beautiful spiritual aspect to your promises, emphasizing the sacredness of your commitment.

Your promise to let your partner take the lead, as long as they respect you along the way, shows a wonderful balance and understanding in your relationship. The acknowledgement of making mistakes and learning from them is also a sign of humility and growth.

And finally, I love how you end the poem with the promise to take care of each other's hearts and embark on a new journey together as husband and wife. It beautifully encapsulates the essence of marriage and the beginning of a new chapter in your lives.

Some suggestion for improvement would be to work on the flow and structure of the poem. Consider refining the rhythm and meter to create a smoother reading experience. Also, adding more specific and vivid imagery could enhance the emotional impact of your promises.

Overall, your 'I Promise' poem is incredibly touching and passionate. Your intentions come through loud and clear, making it a truly beautiful expression of your love. Keep up the fantastic work!
