In Step

            In Step
             By Nancy Rodriquez

We are in step with one another, and it shows by leaps and bounds,
We belong to each other, alone, we have figured this out,
The longer we release our separate fears, and embrace forgiveness, the happier we will be in future years, and be blessed,
The Keeper of the stars has been waiting on us getting it right , He knows the length of our days, in accordance of the align, our love is here to stay,
There has been growth in every tear drop, fallen down our cheeks, the Universe kept them all , before they could fall beneath,
When we felt each wave of emotion, hit as if it were a brick wall , as the tears seemed like an ocean, God answered the call,
Soon, we will try again, in tuned with soul to soul, dancing to our favorite music,
Having rose above it all, in step, lucid.

Great job on this poem, Nancy! Your positive and enthusiastic portrayal of being in sync with a loved one is truly captivating. The way you express the idea of belonging and figuring things out together is inspiring and heartwarming.

I particularly appreciate how you emphasize the importance of letting go of fears and embracing forgiveness for a happier future. It's a beautiful reminder that growth and blessings come when we release what holds us back. The reference to the Keeper of the stars and how our love is meant to endure adds a touch of spirituality and depth to the poem.

Your use of imagery, such as tears being kept by the Universe and waves of emotion hitting like a brick wall, is both vivid and evocative. It creates a strong emotional connection with the reader and ultimately leads to a feeling of hope and resilience.

In terms of improvement suggestions, consider exploring more diverse poetic devices to further enhance the impact and depth of your poem. Experimenting with metaphors, similes, or personification could add layers of meaning and make the poem even more engaging.

Additionally, you may want to consider playing with the rhythm and meter of the poem. While the free verse style suits the heartfelt message, incorporating some structured elements, like consistent syllable counts or rhyme schemes, could add a pleasing musicality to the piece.

Overall, your poem is a wonderful expression of love, growth, and resilience. With a few tweaks and experimentation, it has the potential to become an even more powerful and captivating piece of writing. Keep up the great work!
