To Do’s Can Wait

Cozy in my bed I stare.
In a fog and unaware.
For when tasks, too much to bear,
I pretend they are not there.

Clean the house and pay the bills,
brush the dust off windowsills.
Dirty laundry basket fills.
Constant worry, often kills.

So I lay upon my bed.
Clear To Do list in my head.
Stress, a thought not to be fed.
Choose not doing, dream instead.

For tomorrow brings the grind.
Plenty minutes, then will find.
Choose now lazy state of mind.
Think no thoughts, relax, unwind.

Next day will not be too late.
Dirty dishes, they can wait.
When too much sits on my plate,
choose I to procrastinate.
