A Mourning Walk

In hands of a loss, where grieving is born,
as heart lies beneath a blanket that’s torn.
It seeks to find comfort, acceptance must grow.
For grief is just love, with no place to go.
Each thought overwhelming, like walk
in the rain
without an umbrella for sorrow and pain.
A dream provides space where memories play,
but comfort unfelt, within hours of a day.
Grief comes and it goes, it travels on air.
No schedule it gives, no time to prepare.
Thus love will then hide, under blanketed sorrows,
for mourning must travel through many tomorrows.
