Child of Mine

Child of mine,
I think of you all the time.
Do not forget our time spent together.
Those moments I remember with pleasure.
My time with you I'll always treasure.
That beautiful smile on your face,
In my mind, it never fades.
I still hear your laughter ringing in my ears.
Beautiful laughter, though it brings me to tears.

Child od mine,
You're always on my mind.
I think about when
I'll hold you again.
I imagine how wonderful it will be,
And imagine the happiness it will bring,
When I see you face to face.
This is a fantasy that I Chase.
But until that time
I continue to write this rhyme.

Child of mine,
I would stop on a dime.
I would clear my entire schedule
To see you, because you're so special.

Child of mine,
Now I have too much time.
Time to regret.but
And time to reflect
Upon all the time indebted to you,
Without you I've been blue.
But in my heart
I know they can't keep us apart.
Well, not forever,
They're not that clever.
You're my only endeavor.

Child of mine,
Listen to this next line.
When you're home again
With you I will spend
Every moment that I have.
I hope you'll be glad.
I pray that this day will come soon.
I love younto the Moon
And back
My love for you does not lack.

Child of mine,
I hope our paths will realign.
Never did I want to let you down.
And when I go to your town
I'll get to hear that sound
Of your voice
And I will hoist
You up to the sky,
How your eyes so shine.

Child of mine,
For you I walk the line.
I write to you to say,
That on that day,
When I see you again.
I'll be the happiness I've been.
But until that joyous day
For you I continue to pray.

Sweet, sweet Child of mine,
For you, the tallest mountain I'll climb.
So please remember
I will love you forever.
Though we're not together
We're still birds of a feather.

Child of mine
I won't leave you behind.
You're my priceless treasure.
What you mean to me can not be measured.
When I wish upon a star,
I wish to be where you are
And when I talk to the Moon,
I know we'll be together soon.
