Emotional

I've  been so emotional al.
Been feeling so anti-social.

Things that I see,
Things that I read,
Things that I hear,
All bring me to tears.

The emotion that I feel,
Am I alone in thinking it's a big deal?

Regardless, I  choke up,
I feel a lump in my throat.
Try to stop the tears, but nope.

I cry when I'm mad.
I cry when I'm sad.
I cry when I'm glad.

I have no control
When emotion swells in my soul.

The way that's best
For me to express
This swelling in my chest
Is to exhale my breath.

And with it a sob.
I try to stop.

I don't know why,
But lately I just have to cry.

Maybe I'm too sensitive.
Somedays it's hard to live.

It hurts me to see
All the pain and grief
That people in this world are suffering.
The empathy I feel keeps my heart shuddering.
