Universal Braid

Time to braid my bracelet~

   I call the universal braid

I have selected my colors

From many choices to be made

The thread of the color red

   The color that joins us

Running through each and every vein

Let us not allow one more drop to be shed in vain.

The thread of the color green

The color of our Mother Earth

Allowing us to walk on stable ground

Let us not allow our Mother to be destroyed

The thread of color blue

  The color that surrounds us

As we look to the sky and pray

Our Heavenly Father above protects us

As we wear our universal braid of love and peace

    On our wrist to display

All that joins us as One

Our hope for each and everyday

Our Father provides us water

    Our Mother provides us food

Our Sun provides the light we need

Let us not self destruct this gift we have been given

Such an embraceable poem. Your use of metaphor is highly effective.
