Broken Darkness

The darkness has broken~

A new day behold

For words yet unspoken~

And beauty untold

My soul is filled with sunshine~

My heart is filled with love

I live every moment~

With the guidance from above

When the day has ended~

I lay me down to rest

I feel a peace within my heart~

I know I have done my best

This poem echoes the sentiments of the Christian hymn “Praise My Soul the King of Heaven.”
