STUNNED IN LOVE

I hear it so loud and clear, the sound of the rain,
Bringing back that treasured memory of us again.
When closer to me you became till I felt the beat of your heart,
And this journey ours would slowly start.

It was a moonlit night with the rain complimenting its beauty
At the sight of you, my tongue seized to perform it's duty.
And these eyes of mine, forever grateful they became,
For they'd beheld a sight where in this world there wasn't same

With every step towards me you gracefully took,
Right into my eyes you would shyly look
For you sought my approval, one with words I couldn't give,
Yet I had to make it known that if you left I wouldn't live

But under a hex I was, numb in every single part,
And here you were right in front of me, just a breath apart
With emotions growing strong inside yet appearing weak,
I desired to be freed so I could do more than speak

It was then you smiled, and my  thoughts I knew you'd read,
For you'd found a way into my heart and head.
Then you smiled, for I was never known to say much,
So right there, you set me free just with your touch.
