Intentions

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

What do you want
a sperm donor?

A sexual being to service your needs?

Do you want to capture
To distill thoughts and feelings shared

Into some wine for you to drink, alone
Without dealing with the seeming inconsistencies

composing and defining
The reality of interaction

The chemistry?

Is what makes us get along so well
In relationships together

Based upon what we have in common
Our wants and needs

Divided by the imagination
of What life could be like

In the worlds of our fantasies
Not knowing which is sweeter

The imagination or the reality
Born of necessity

People acting ad lib
In dialog with each other

Deliberately

Knowing
its importance

To the truth
Of

your intentions
