Dawn on your knees

Before the sun comes out to play
Let those of us find the humility to try

To ascend down to our knees

Let us pray, Dear God

Excise the demons in us that we may

Experience Just one day
Lend us just enough fortitude

To cry out for those without bread to eat,
A place to sleep, loved ones who must face death,

Unbearable challenges, insurmountable odds,

torturous trials ahead or look in the eyes of death
With sufficient Faith to pass the test

That we may increase
our hold Between us,

those who remember

And those who
shake with fear,

afraid

Keep the more
foolish of us

Out of the way
of those among us

Who on this day
must endure,

A flood of tears,
an avalanche of sorrow,

Pay a great sacrifice …
for our survival

Paving the way
for a greater…

Tomorrow
