Wish I Was Your Blanket

Charles Edward York 1966 (Saigon, Vietnam)

Wish I Was Your Blanket

Wish I was your blanket
So wrapped around your skin
As close to your body beautiful
The next breath you take in.

How soft I’d love to feel
As water around your waist
I wish my eyes could touch
What lips and tongue could taste.

Your mouth is my dream
The rest of you my ambition
To sweep you off your feet
Catch you in one condition.

How deep is your ocean
And open wide your sea?
Swimming inside your sensual pool
Would be so sweet to me!

Wish I was your blanket
Keeping you forever warm
Your safety and the passion
Creating our quiet storm.
