Heed

Paul Marauder 1962 (Belfast)

Free verse
I  put on my Panama hat then my snake
skin suit
my diamond bolo tie and my alligator boots

Then I go out dancing every night I drink 12 shots of Bourbon then 12 snake bites


But take heed my friends of the western skies
And take heed my friends of the stormy weather

Because life goes by in a blink  of an eye
So fast you don’t even notice it wave bye bye

About this poem

No matter how much you enjoy life it will go by in a flash
