I Swear

I swear these past months have been hell,
Being without you has been the worst I can tell,
I know in my soul I can never let you go,
and each day that goes by, I want you to know,
I would much rather be in your life than not,
Every moment we have ever spent together meant a lot,
and I can not get you out of my mind,
despite having tried,
I simply do not know what I could say,
to have  you home one glorious day,
From our first talk until now,
I have wondered just how,
we ever arrived at this impasse,
I thought our love would last,
We were happy once upon a time,
just living our lives,
I was not looking to fall head over hills,
It was not long before we again learned to feel,
I swear the   stars were in awe of us,
until we were hung up on lack of trust,
You are who I want in this life we are in,
I am waiting for the day we begin again.
