Evening Calm
The sunlight shrinks hues
As the cool breeze blows in
A silvery disc hovers
Against the azure sky
My soul feels your fire
Warming me within
Dreams of your warm body
Kiss my desires
The air turns into petals
And I know it’s you
Stroking me
Soothing all the soreness
Bringing evening calm.
Your beautiful face softens
My tired eyes gently
The shadows of night
Arrive at a slow pace
Stars echo your name
I feel you so close
Your arms circle me
They complete us
A safe harbor
We can bathe in peace
The diurnal drums go quiet
Settling in evening calm.
