HOW MUCH A YEAR CAN CHANGE WHO YOU ARE

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Words and reactions are the reflections of those who hold them be they lies or truths depending on how one suggests them. for myself, they are a mirror to the soul a story starting to unfold like a ball of yarn waiting to be spun

What has happened to me over this last year? that has not yet come to an end .once  inside a brief minute I lost myself and those who I once called my forever friends. what has happened to me? the me that 285 days ago needed a detailed blueprint for everything in my life that was unknown. for example my many loves and deaths, my daughters' first breath on her own. it took me 48 years but damn I've grown

Why did I hate my father yet loved my mother? even with our differences, we are the same f*ck the saying father like son, for I am my mothers' son a stubborn headstrong don't mess with my family type of person.

I came back for all that I have forgotten in my past, my lives are plenty for I am not a body but a wondering soul yet this run around I find myself needing for a little while longer to last. after all, I think I might have got the cheat sheet for this 3rd life. so to myself, I tip my hat and have a drink and another toke because it seems like forever since the last time I came undone and found myself broke
