Just Another Mound of Dust

Evil comes from greedy hearts
that never learned to listen
All the words the LORD spoke to them
Most of them were missing

The LORD will test my character
Until the time has come
To make sure all my dreams come true
I’m not the only one

Many sons will follow me
As many sons went first
Until the Son of Man has come
To satisfy their thirst

A dream deferred makes sick the heart
But glad when its fulfilled
And many sons will live their dreams
And heaven will be filled

But not so for the wicked
Soon their hopes will all be crushed
Burned to ashes, swept away
Another mound of dust
