These don’t choose to be great, trees
Seeds of greatness blossoming with ease
Sustenance, beauty, and healing, all these
Are the products of potential they release.
These don’t choose to be great, eagles
Great and greater than their sister seagulls
Purple wings, majestic from all angles
Soaring up high, a king without struggles
These don’t choose to be great, stars
Those dancing twinkles far beyond Mars
They shine full from birth till they pass
Leaving a great legacy of dust and gas.
But the burden of choice is given to man
To choose this day if he will be more than
Like the trees, eagles and stars, surely you can
Say YES! And your greatness would’ve began
