On the road to destiny, you’ll be met with one foe
“Life is a battle,” for with him you’ll go toe to toe
He is Resistance; it’s by his hand that life is so hard
For he fights goals and dreams like a mighty guard
Resistance is providence’s worthy test
That weeds out the fraud from the best
Resistance exposes the heart that wants it most
From the babble of wishes and those who boast
Resistance is Great Mother’s milk that grows
All who seek gain and fame before it bestows
He is Nature’s intended path to prepare and train
Dreamers and visionaries for all they hope to attain
This gatekeeper to all worthy pursuits, Resistance
Must be met with his only nemesis, Persistence
Take the test of resistance and suck at Mother’s teats
For this is the only path for men to reach great feats
