If I were your shadow, what would I see?

Hailey 2007

If I were your shadow, what would I see?
When you are with people are you a good person?
When you’re alone are you the opposite?
If I were your shadow, what would I see?
Would I see you with a smile on your face everywhere you go?
Would I see you crying to yourself at night?
If I were your shadow, what would I see?
Would I see you taking care of everyone else?
Would I see you struggling mentally because you don’t help yourself?
If I were your shadow, what would I see?
Would you be rude to everyone else, talking down on them?
Would you be getting abused or yelled at in the home?
If I were your shadow, what would I see?
Would I see this kind and caring person who doesn’t really have anything against anyone?
Would I see you mentally struggling because those you’re nice to take you for granted?
If I were your shadow, what would I see?
Would you be the best person you know you could be because someone else is watching?
Or would you just be the broken-down person you know you are and hope that someone finally comes along to help YOU for once?
