BYE BYE BLACK BIRD

jody l cooke 2021 (north carolina)

As we walk into the great
Forest there is a voice that
Comes down to you and me.
We looked up to see a black
Bird in a tree, as we listen
To its whistle of a Celtic tune.
Then she stretches forth her
Wings to fly high above....
Singing aloud its love for
You and me. Bye bye black
Bird tell me what you see in
The mist of everything, wonder-
ING if you are dreaming of far
Away places, of castles and kings.
Now we start to sing out bye bye
Black bird, as we get lost in your
Celtic dreams...…
