DRESSED TO KILL

jody l cooke 2021 (north carolina)

When I look into your eyes
I can see that our love was
Meant to be, as you put on
Your leather and lace and
We stand face to face. I know
Our feelings are real when
You are dressed to kill.

You leave without a trace,
Just a smoking gun at your
Waist and you finally have me
In your sight when you fire
Into the night. When there's
Nothing else to say then you
Blow me away. With your high
Heel shoes and bad attitude
You are too good to be true
When you are dressed to kill.

I know how I feel when I'm in
Your arms, you give me a thrill
With your fiery eyes. I know I
Can run, but I can not hide.
Your bullet burns me deep inside
And all that is left is smoke and
Steel when you are dressed to
Kill.
