THE NIGHT CALLER

The night caller visits
In the middle of the night,
Spreading around chaos
As he stalks the evil dark;
Slashing people’s houses
Leaving just before daylight.

The night caller calling
Upon those about to die,
Creeping through houses
And stalking public parks;
As he guns down the innocent
Creeping off into the night.

The night caller spreading
Round terror, despair, fear,
Stabbing, strangling, shooting
All he meets just for a lark;
Innocents cry out for help
As death does surely near.

The night caller perpetrates
Evil through this fearful town,
Spreading a loathsome message
Which death itself does hark;
Creeping in through open windows
To spread fear and trembling ‘round.

The night caller gibbering
In delight at all the terror,
That he brings on his targets
As he leaves his awful mark;
A night killer’s helter-skelter
Surely God Above’s one error.

THE END
