ALTERED

JP. 1948 (United Kingdom)

ALTERED

Through that crack in a rift of time
She thought of that day she went offline
In the labyrinth of her altered mind
The right or wrong she could not define
Her reason twisted in shadow past
From the day they met the runes were cast
She craved his touch upon her heart
Wake up with him and never part
To see him naked each new morning
Have him kiss her neck with no pre warning
To have him sit there by her side
And not to say if she knows he lied
She wrote him letters, never sent
Soaked by the tears she did not repent
She keeps his picture in a secret place
Yet knows his lover she can't displace
Each night she sleeps with a small blue pill
And when she wakes will love him still
She will see him today, he lives next door
Her secret to love that little bit more.
