The Turd

Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

How was I to know it
How was I to hear your song
How was I to feel your heart
When love had gone so terribly wrong?
You got angry & we fought
More & More everyday
Then one day I found out
You never loved me anyway.
Oh! But you loved my money
And the status only fame can bring
You enjoyed the constant shopping
And endless travelling.
When I finally caught on to your scheme
And decided I'd had enough
You threatened to blackmail me
Proving how you're so out of touch.
'Why would anyone believe me'
'How could a woman abuse a man'
You constantly teased & taunted me
Even started attacking my fans.
But you were the abusive one
While I'm the one that suffered all the pain...
Physical beatings, black eyes, a severed finger...
...gaslighting & mind games.
All because I loved you
& was dumb enough to believe your lies
You manufactured our entire relationship
I was in too deep to even realize.
A divorce decree was imminent
I had to free myself from you
Concentrate on saving my career
And repairing my family, too.
There's so much more about this I could say
But what difference would that be to you?
You've made yourself out to be a martyr
Making a career out of the lies & untruths.
But the bitter end is approaching
Karma is coming into view
When all is said & done & it's all over with
Tell me, who's gonna be there for you?!
