The Brotherhood

Tabitha J. Bryson 1973 (Indianapolis, Indiana)

Darkness falls upon the land
the skies are black & cold
people are lying down to dream
of stories yet untold.
The deafness of silence
fixes upon one's mind
taking us to another place
no concept of precious time.
Time passes away
while shadows deeply sigh
you wake up refreshed with a smile
unknowing the reasons why.
The day begins
at the crack of dawn
people awakening everywhere
their hearts are beating strong.
Then they walk out the door
to face the world
and see realities frown
angered by everything & everyone around.
Bullets fly
words of hate are said
people lying around everywhere
are left for dead.
It's getting dark once again
all over the land
But this time it's God
he's angrily taking a stand.
He storms across the waters, blows across the mountains, shaking all the land...

..."You were commanded by Me to love & do all that you can...
For I have told you, to be the Brotherhood of Man."
