Facts Are Stubborn Things

Invisible to most
ignored by many
freedom's blown away with the wind
no longer have we any....
You can dream all you want
turn around & look away
the only thing that's gonna change
is the dreams of yesterday....
Is that really how it was?
In the days long gone by?
Do you remember the tears we shed,
how many of us cried....?
Was that how it really was?
Or was that how it could have been?
Do you recall all the pain?
The loss of so many men....?
Looking back so fondly
can truly be a dangerous game
don't deny the actual truth
facts have been known to be stubborn things.
