Envious, of the flying creatures
dreams, with wing like imaginary features
arms taking flight, with emotional delight
leaving the ground, style of Wright
control panel, display of gauges
stepping stone, glorified days and stages
hours in simulation, model testing
skyward bound, possibilities suggesting
incredible views, aloft and humming
intersections, of a pursuit now becoming
bearings trusting, horizon in view
tested on the beach, by brothers of two
passion for lifting, ground leaving
onlookers watch, but still disbelieving
rising swifter soaring, future atmospheric ceiling
mountain higher top, vantage points revealing
limited time, above higher ground
and forced into, a down to earth touchdown
machine flying, affectionate affair
sooner than later, I must return to the air
