Analysis of Without A Friend

Ashamed of a life of hurt,
you struggle to find self-worth.
For memories of abuse,
have fueled depression since birth.

Reflection reveals your fate,
a bleak future fraught with fear.
And the heavy weight of guilt,
crushes with a single tear.

Traumatized by years of pain,
you envy the peace of death.
And anxious to leave this life,
anticipate your last breath.

Seeking release with a knife,
you pray this will be the end.
For forever's frightening,
when you die without a friend.
