Birth Of Dawn

Sol sears the dark edge of Earth,
His cyclops eye all ablaze.
Rising from oblivion,
He gilds the fringes of night.

Exquisite crimson flames,
burn the horizon scarlet.
And light gobbles up the dark,
fueling the birth of dawn.

Misty banks of rolling fog,
let golden sunbeams shine through.
And like clumps of pastry dough,
puffy white clouds cling to blue.

Color untangles from black,
as shadows reclaim their shape.
And a gnarly pine bristles,
with quells of emerald green.
