Analysis of Sasha's Starving Artist.

When Pablo painted Gertrude
From palette mostly browns,
Was he tutored by Miss Alice?
Did she overlook his work?
Suggesting the posing of the leg?
Directing the way his painting spread
Blackened mud around a body shapeless?
Or was that his response to her suggestions?
Was that neckerchief a gift of his -
Some symbol secret given, shared and hidden?
Does her diary tell us feelings:
Eighty days my love lies-faceless.
He cannot paint that head endeared.
Is he here to paint? - or eat?
He does the later well!
That touch of red is paid in lamb chops!
What will tommorow bring
Appetite or artist?
