Analysis of No Escape

I am as a caged bird on the inside looking out.
No source of freedom, living days filled with doubt.
No room to stretch, spread my wings and fly.
Trying my hardest to laugh when all I want to do is cry.
Can't see the sunshine or feel the breeze of the wind.
Darkness is my companion with no light at tunnel's end.
Minutes seem like hours and hours seem like days,
Having no space to venture, yet lost in life's crazy maze.
My mind is in a constant turmoil, searching for some answers.
But all my inspirations are snuffed out like body cells from cancer.
Every way I turn, I see the strands of long, thick wire.
Trying every way to break through, but my body quickly tires.
I have food, drink, shelter, and a place to lay my head,
But I would like to be free and provide for myself instead.
No one can possibly understand from the outside looking in,
Unless they too are caught and captured as I have been.
To be strictly limited with few options or control,
Waiting on some miracle to eventually unfold.
Unless that time arrives, swinging this cage door open wide,
I'll just have to learn to live, trapped helplessly here inside.
