My Gift

My gift is not in a bag or in a box.
It has no price tag; there is no cost.
It has no color, shape, or size.
It isn't anything that you can buy.
My gift to you comes straight from the heart.
Now let me see; just where should I start?
I wish you laughter with your husband and daughter.
Joy-filled years with little sadness or sorrow.
Many priceless memories made only to keep.
The sweetest of dreams whenever you sleep.
Life filled with hope and wishes come true.
An abundance of hugs should you ever feel blue.
Infinite love and peace all around,
Breathtaking visions and wonderful sounds.
Mind free of worries, struggles, and pain.
Strong bonded family that always remain.
I give you the sun, the moon, and the stars
And God's richest blessings wherever you are.
I pray you receive this small gift of mine,
A shadow to follow you all through time.
