Analysis of Believe Once More

My possessions are few and stark,
remnants of delusions and lies.
Sunlight gilds the fringes of dark,
and golden slivers pierce my eyes.

Sol rises like a ball of flame,
defeating darkness yet again.
And despite all my scars of shame,
I'm finally free of my pain.

Tears have lost their claim to my soul,
for they no longer fill my eyes.
And although fate has levied its toll,
faith's renewed with every sunrise.

Life feels the way I think it should,
waking and enjoying the day.
I feel different and it's good,
it's been years since I felt this way.

My reality sees what's real,
I can think and believe once more.
Hope's changed my outlook and I feel
I've found what I've been looking for.
