Imbued With Hope

Perfection's reserved for God,
we mortals must deal with less.
Beauty lies beyond what you see,
adorning souls others bless.

Flattery and conceit,
feed a perfusion of lies.
For fantasy prerequisites,
aren't meant to recruit the wise.

Reality is overtly harsh,
crushing dreams before they start.
And feelings of loneliness,
are held hostage in the heart.

Yet life's imbued with hope,
for every smile is a gem.
And who can presume to see,
with only eyes to guide them?

If you treat truth as precious,
its value will increase.
And you will be rewarded,
as doubts and anxieties cease.
