Analysis of Oh Lord

Hasan Johnson 1980 (Peoria Illinois)

Oh Lord
Help me please
My past is hunting me
The mistakes I've made
The Sins I've committed
For I have fallen short and failed every test
Now when I lay down I'm unable to rest
Oh Lord
Help me please
Take away my grief
If my tears could cleanse me
I want to move forward
Help me let go
Lord oh Lord please help me
I'm begging for some relief before my stress over takes me
How can I move on looking back
Why disturb my peace
You awaken me from my sleep but when I pray you don't answer me
Here am I Lord
Come and take me
My life is in shambles and I can't take it
Oh Lord
Help me please
