Analysis of Hope Lost and Found

A time lost in memory
Vague threats of a broken promise
All renewed with the color of the sky
Find yourself in the most unlikely places

A wish for a dream
Tension rises before the fall
Desire came with a heavy price
Lose yourself to the rhythm of the drum

A gift for a thief
Vague threats of a broken promise
Desire came with the color of the sky
Discover yourself where none can be found

Find yourself in a dream
Lose yourself to the rhythm
Give to those who need it most
Take from those who have nothing to give

Promise yourself to do better
Make the world a better place
Let go of all your tension
Donate to a lost cause

What was once known only by you
Now forgotten by everyone
Can't be rediscoverd
Until all is lost

About this poem

Sometimes we ask far too much of ourselves and others when all we have to do is show each other a little love and all will be well once more.
