Analysis of Catching Shit
So many years I’m floating free
explaining waves surrounding me
residing on a savage sea
alone as proud as I can be
The harbors I have visited
as just a site to find some rest
provided merely crumbs of bread
gave me no pass, they dispossessed
And every ship I served as boy
had damage they concealed as well
Their stomachs didn’t seem too coy
but no one looked aside to tell
At little dots far out at sea
the ones with such attractive bay
that I would plan a longer stay
each time a shark would glare at me
For now I drift around but me
pursue all ships that pass my grit
I cast my net and catch the shit
of undigested gluttony
