An Ocean Of Tears

From the desert
Of my empty soul
I have wept
An ocean
Of silent tears

As my heart
Torn apart
Aches
With pain
Indescribable, unknown

My heart
Fragile porcelain
Shattered pieces
Scattered
Am I forever lost?

I search
That...

Silence The Accuser

Silence the Accuser

Tumble the strongholds of my mind
Scatter the shadows of my past
Silence the accuser
Break the shackles that help me fast

His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your innocence
His blood declares your...

I Found Love

I found love
Hanging on a tree
Strung up
For all humanity

I found love
A human whipping post
Of
Flayed flesh
Ripped from bone
And as muscles
Hung in shreds
The word became flesh

“You forgave the iniquity of your people
You covered...

Each Heart Is Called

Each heart is called
To reconcile
Life’s hurts

I have dealt with mine
And
My path now lies
In
Here and now

I will not put my hand
To the plough
Of
Self Justification
And turn the ugly clods
Of
Past’s resentments

I will not...

The Artist

The Artist

Thin words
Brush wash the page
Leaving meaning's hinted hue

The horizon
A faint, sketched, stretched metaphor
Separates the grounds

A brush dipped
In rhythm and rhyme
Works the page

Wet, punctuated words
Literary...

As ever you are very kind. I am wondering how I can send you the melody. Perhaps I will just send you the 'life story' instead!

Yes too many suffer from the disabling fallout of this horribe affliction ... but I am living proof that it is possible to be free. See my post ... 'Silence The Accuser'

I meant to comment when you first posted this, as ever wonderfully written and evocative. The theme of your poem and your finally line 'They cannot quench my song' has promted me to post the words of a song that I wrote called 'Silence The Accuser'. I wrote this as a testomony, of being completely healed of depression. See my page for more.

Family legend tells the tale of my 'Huguenot' ancestors fleeing persecution in France in C16. Sadly 'murderous antipathy ' is still casting long dark shadows across the centuries.
I loved your depiction of the moon in the first stanza ... wonderful imagery.
