Drawbridge

I was taken aback from my life of folly. Known to slink around town and find much to drink till my thoughts felt profound alone in my hollow home that I carved on that mourn sabbatical brink.

Oh, why do they follow and whisper my words, and how...

Music is fruit and love is oxygen

Music is fruit, and love is oxygen, i think to myself as i contemplate reasons the strings in my mind are strummed by some rhythms while others seem reluctant to play.

All notes I adore from "A" slid to "G", alone microtones and The Vibes in...

no face I cannot warm.
I Grace the land dear Japanese your garments I Adorn. A vacay in Antarctic snow, thaw sweet sister North
And scaled the top of every mont that breaks the surface shore.

Quantum Justified

I want to be in this tragedy, solemnly laid to rest with thee.
SImilar silent souls begging, begging, begging, to remove the manic mask that was plastered just for show, to hide those little lily lies molded by the ones you know.
I hope my life...

Absolutely wonderful. I'm no poetry critic but I do know i enjoyed it. I was somewhat fearful to read on seeing how it is deeply relatable to darkness but it is a great poem of hope.

I was denied the chance to donate an organ for reasons that dont exist. long story but basically I had no say in my own health decisions and the recipient, a soldier, was left in need and probably still is if not dead.

perfect imagery. this is a truly wonderful piece AJC. It made nice memories come flooding back as I read and the the dark chilly references shocked me back into the present and im thankful for all of it. ( I couldnt help but be reminded of a movie I saw a a kid also " Ernest scared stupid". ) maybe its the season that is approaching but this was a perfect poem for this time of year in my opinion. thank you for sharing sir.

I was getting water out of my bathtub faucet and turned on the hot water and thought to myself how that's what I use to bathe with . it then got my water from the cold faucet and thought all the uses for water and how its even gives us life but its all the same miraculous water gifted from god. The initial line about drinking it just begins my process of separating how we use water and finally I got to the water that actually is for drinkin. Thx for reading it and responding.

I just wanted to read your poetry. Ive randomly picked this one although ive read it before. I cringed as my mind realized the story about to vicariously unfold in my mind and now I smile for the moments after when your kind words and "communication" branded my brain with love.

Well said. Communication through Language, to me, has been somewhat polluted ive realized as ive gotten older which is why when someone reads or writes something that doesnt necessarily follow the normal structure or cadence of a language, it can communicate on a deeper level because it speaks to the core of a feeling that lies within the person. There is no need for the normal passages ways of speech/writing to express an emotion/moment/experience etc. I really like this poem. Its a wonderful reminder to me. Thank you.
