Move me with your words. Prove to me through your actions. Reveal yourself through your lies. Hurt me with your goodbyes. Show me my worth by staying by my side. And show me your worth by not choosing to hide. Love me with your intentions and follow through on what you say. Hate me by hurting me, I expect that anyway. For you, fellow human, I'll show you what I'll give you. Prayers for your soul and kindness built from truth. Acceptance of your bad intentions you can have. I'll take adding more scars on my back. You can try all you want but you will not darken me. Break me a thousand times and here I'll still be. You might inflict pain and that's expected. But you cannot take from me the goodness reflected.

Understanding was neglected,

Your type of self love is acts of kindness to others which in turn boosts your confidence and self worth answering respect. That is a type of self love and care. If you really get joy out of reading and studying the Bible, maybe make a daily task to allow yourself 30 minutes to sit, alone, and do just that. You'd be surprised how big of a difference something like that can do for your happiness. It's you time. Which means you choose what to do with the time as long as it serves you.

My remedies differ day to day. It might be as simple as a bubble bath or a cheap weekend getaway with just myself and my 2 dogs. Some days I put my phone on the charger, and completely ignore it on purpose. I eat as healthy as possible with my budget, it's expensive to eat healthy but I do take great care as to what I put in my body. I once struggled with substance abuse so, I nourish my body properly and make wise choices with food. Self care for me most of the time though, is Journaling somewhere outside after a long walk. Face masks. Painting my toenails. Etc. Girly stuff of course which I'm not sure you'd be down for lol. Basically I pour my effort and energy into something that benefits me and only me, at least once per day, regardless of time constraints. I force myself to love myself even in the smallest ways every day. That to me, is self care/love.

No one will ever love you the way you deserve except for yourself and God. There's someone out there that might come close to matching that energy. I just haven't had much luck finding it or maybe I choose the wrong types of men. My journey, at this time, I walk alone. They say that's when God sends the right one.

Don't stop writing. And the more real we are when we write, the better that shit is. Everything ugly about me is written somewhere. It's better off on paper than circling through our minds.
