Well bummer. I just read my poem again, it was my final draft. When I copied it over the first time, that must have been my final draft thinking I copied the final over - so didnt reread it., so I edited it to the final version (1/8/24). I makes much more sense. There were only a few changes, just a couple lines, but I think they made a world of difference in the final version. Bummer. Hope people like this final version. more »

I voted for this one for the excellent use of the words for rhyming and it flowed well with good syncopation. However, while many of these did do this style, this one touched me because I lived/live a similar life with my father. more »

Thank you. Aside from Squirts heart condition, unbeknownst to us, a silent suicide by his mate (of 21yrs) caught us off guard, We later found out her lack of appetite was she was trying to cross over too. I think that was more painful. If we had only known at the time. Thank you again for reading. more »
