Once more I congratulate Melissa Klock on writing beautifully and expressing most eloquently through the therapeutic liberating open door medium of poetry a message revealing how love is more powerful than hatred, how inner strength can overcome outward fear, how wanton male brute force reveals human cowardice, how a woman’s gentleness is what provides the milk of human kindness to world’s civilizations and which makes a woman a special hero that glitters brighter than any gold, providing healing light in a world of darkness. I invite readers of this poem to take time to read my poem “Grimm’s ‘Dear Mili’ Tale: A Feminist Perspective” which also highlights the unique heroic nature and the strength of women that is too often stifled or, sadly, even unappreciated.
