Why

Why he rides I just do not know.
Always chasing that dam ole rodeo.
Every time he falls I feel his pain.
Lord let him quit before I go insane.

Trying to always be his best.
But he will end up like the rest.
Bruised, hurt and broken.
I offer my heart to him as a token.

He says, “wait just one more time.”
This time victory will be mine.
But I know he really is just lying.
He will get up and keep on trying.
Deep inside I know he won't stop.
Until they lay a tombstone on  his plot.
