When my time on Earth is passed...

When my time on Earth is passed
When all of my days are through
I pray thee though I sleep in time
That you'll let me walk with you
Along the path of memory sweet
Where we young then often strolled
Laughing to the wind of love
As youth's cheerful chorus rang loudly
When the lines of time, of age
Were yet to make themselves known
And wishful thinking brought the thought
Of never growing old
The days when night by moonlight brought
In whispers, poetry sweet
And lips tightly hugging met
And danced to romance's mellow beat
Let me walk through yester years
Oh let me walk with you
When my time on Earth is passed
And all of my days are through.
